This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads. Although it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a denser weave than regular Gabbeh.
"Luri" means "fine" and "baf" means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs, deeply rooted in nomadic life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian Varied wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content to skillfully regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh, hand-woven thread by thread by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting excellent durability.
Born from a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and not feeling hot in summer.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh created imaginatively by nomads often feature animal and plant designs, and each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind original.

Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For気になる stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye variations. Please understand these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
The scent will gradually disappear with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed for shipping

The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
