Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool with a long pile, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft and pleasant texture rich in oils to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, with this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-knotted strand by strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-knotted, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-knotted items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
