This round Gabbeh doormat adds a special accent to your entryway or the space where it's placed. Its round, edgeless shape brings softness to the area, creating a warmer atmosphere. It's more compact than a square mat and fits seamlessly even in narrow entryways. Furthermore, it doesn't obstruct door opening and closing, making it highly practical.
The luxurious fringes, similar to those on Persian rugs, are meticulously attached as a special order by our shop.
It features a soft, fluffy, and pleasant texture that can be used all year round.
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind, hand-woven design that is truly unique in the world.
This particular Gabbeh is woven with fine threads; due to the effort required for such fine weaving, it is a Luri-baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and more densely woven than regular Gabbehs.
"Luri" means "fine" and "baf" means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran. They are long-pile, root-of-life rugs made from plant-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft and pleasant texture containing ample natural oils for effective body temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, demonstrating its exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And, above all, there is its artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, imaginatively created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being an original, one-of-a-kind piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust using a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
As these are hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
