This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baft Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a tighter weave than regular Gabbehs.
"Luri" means "fine" and "baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh is a long-pile rug deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomadic tribe, who hand-weave them in the Zagros Mountains of Iran using naturally dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant-to-the-touch texture contains a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbehs, woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbehs are warm in winter and airy in summer, giving a feeling of coolness.
And above all, there's its artistry. Gabbehs created from the nomads' imaginations often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one an original, one-of-a-kind piece.
They are not only suitable for laying on the floor but also beautiful enough to be displayed as art on a wall.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shady area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed upon request before shipping.

The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pompoms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
