Features of Persian hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content for effective thermoregulation.
Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads, one thread at a time, using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Born from the extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, original item.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
The smell will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pom-poms can also be removed before shipping

The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
