Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The "Persian Valiant" wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content that effectively regulates body temperature. Gabbeh woven by Iranian nomads, with each strand carefully dyed with natural dyes and hand-woven, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture. A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability. Gabbeh, born from the extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and airy in summer, with the characteristic of not feeling hot. And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being an original and unique item. Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile. If it is dirty: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, thoroughly wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry it in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving. Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dye used on the wool. The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.

If requested, the pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery. Removing the pom-poms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
