Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs, deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil for good body temperature regulation, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture. Gabbeh, hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, with this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel. A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, boasting excellent durability. Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and not feeling hot in summer. And above all, there is its artistry. The Gabbeh created by the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original. Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile. For stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving unevenness, and dyeing unevenness. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving. Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dyes used to color the wool. The smell will gradually disappear with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed for shipping

The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment. Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
