Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using plant-dyed wool. These are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Valiant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and contains a high oil content, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, skillfully regulating body temperature. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing unevenness. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving. Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used on the wool may be present. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
