This is a Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rug, perfect for placing in your living room or in front of your sofa. It's approximately 2 tatami mats in size, making it easy to place under a dining table or in similar areas. You can use it anywhere in your home where you want to relax. It's soft, plush, and features a pleasant texture that can be used all year round. As a one-of-a-kind hand-woven item, enjoy a design that is unique in the world. This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads; while it takes more effort to weave, it results in a more densely woven Risbaft Gabbeh with less thickness than regular Gabbehs. "Ris" means "fine" in Persian, and "Baft" means "weave."

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are deeply rooted in their daily lives, made from plant-dyed wool with a long pile. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and it contains a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture. Gabbehs, hand-woven by Iranian nomads with this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel. A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability. Gabbehs, born from the extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing heat buildup. And then there's its artistic quality. Gabbehs created from the imagination of nomads often feature animal and plant designs, making each one a unique, original piece. You can not only place them on the floor but also display them on walls as art. Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can enjoy for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile. If stains are a concern: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product. Also, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool, which may result in a distinctive odor from the dyes used to color the wool. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pom-poms can be removed for shipping

Removing the pom-poms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
