This is a hand-woven Persian Gabbeh rug, perfect for placing in your living room or in front of your sofa. It's approximately 2 tatami mats in size, making it easy to lay under a dining table or in other areas. You can use it in any place in your home where you want to relax. It's soft, plush, and features a pleasant texture that can be enjoyed all year round. As a one-of-a-kind hand-woven piece, you can enjoy a design found nowhere else in the world. This particular Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it requires more effort to weave, it results in a more densely woven, thinner Gabbeh known as a Luri-baft Gabbeh, compared to standard Gabbehs. "Luri" means "fine" and "baft" means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs woven by hand by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for surviving in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content that helps with thermoregulation. These Gabbeh rugs, woven meticulously by hand by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel. A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, demonstrating its exceptional durability. Born from a climate with significant temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer. And, above all, their artistry is remarkable. Gabbeh rugs created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original. They can be laid on the floor or even displayed on a wall as art. Why not find a special Gabbeh that you can cherish and use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap. If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, then air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven product. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool, which may result in a distinctive odor from the wool dyes. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
