Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe nomadic in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its high oil content makes it soft and pleasant to the touch, effectively regulating body temperature.
The wool is dyed with natural dyes, and each Gabbeh is carefully hand-woven by Iranian nomads, resulting in a plush and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbehs are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbehs are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbehs created from the nomads' imagination often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even displayed as art on walls.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel. Afterward, carefully wipe with water to remove detergent residue, then air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Additionally, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.

The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
If you wish to have the pom-poms removed before shipment, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
