This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because it requires more effort to weave, it is a Luri Gabbeh, which has less thickness and a tighter weave than regular Gabbeh.
"Reez" means "fine" in Persian, and "baft" means "weave."

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature well, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
The Gabbeh, hand-woven by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, from this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, and each one is a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also beautiful enough to be displayed as art on a wall.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used on the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

If requested, we can remove the pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh before shipping.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
