Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh is a long-pile rug deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture is rich in natural oils, allowing for effective body temperature regulation.
The wool is dyed with natural dyes, and Gabbehs hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads, one thread at a time, are characterized by their soft and plush feel.
Well-woven Gabbehs are incredibly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Gabbehs, created from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, providing comfort even in heat.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbehs created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even displayed as art on a wall.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
