This is a hand-woven wool and silk Persian rug made in Iran (Persia).
It's a classic hand-woven Persian rug, perfect for placing in the living room or in front of a sofa. It's neither too big nor too small, making it easy to match with your room's interior, and its approximately 1.5 tatami mat size (2.43 square meters) is suitable for placing under a dining table.

Gol pattern (flower motif)

The Gol pattern is a common design found in Persian rugs. It is used in various production areas such as Kerman, Isfahan, Kashan, Nain, and Qom. It features various types of flowers, with roses and the traditional Persian Shah Abbasi flower being frequently seen. In the Sarasar pattern, the size of the flowers stands out, while around the Toranj pattern, small flowers are sometimes arranged. It harmonizes with any room.

Heyvan pattern (animal motif)

Occasionally, animals are depicted in Persian rug designs. These designs incorporate many cultural elements and symbols, with birds, lions, and deer appearing frequently. These animals hold special meaning within the rug and, due to their symbolism, are an important and eye-catching element. The animals depicted on the rug create a lively atmosphere and leave a deep impression on viewers.

Enjoy a comfortable life with a hand-woven, one-of-a-kind Persian rug, a design found nowhere else in the world.

Characteristics of the production area (Nain)

Nain is a city located in central Iran, near Isfahan. Nain rugs are very popular and similar in design to those from Isfahan. Cotton is used for the foundation, and wool and silk are often used for the pile. The designs frequently feature Shah Abbasi flower patterns in the medallion. The field color often uses ivory or beige, with accent colors such as red, green, blue, and pink. The Habibian workshop is particularly famous, and its rugs are known for their high quality.

What is a Persian rug?

A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most excellent artistic handicrafts representing Iranian culture and art. There are a wide variety of rugs in Iran, as the design and materials used differ depending on the production area. They range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By introducing a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.

Daily care (Wool & Silk)

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile. If stains are a concern: dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated shade.

Important notes

As these are hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or color variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of hand-woven items.

I was looking for a rug when I saw Persia Direct's Persian rugs on Instagram and decided to visit their store. The first one was a doormat, which I bought online. It was a really good product, so this time I came to the store looking for a Gabbeh large enough to place in front of my sofa. I received very polite service and found a favorite piece, which I immediately decided on. It really suits the atmosphere of my home, and I'm glad I bought it. Thank you very much.

I bought a Persian rug from an online shop for the first time.
I was a bit anxious about buying a Persian rug online because its appearance can change so much depending on the light, but the polite and thorough answers I received when I called to ask questions put me at ease and I went ahead with the purchase.
Although the actual rug was a little darker than expected, I'm delighted to have found such a wonderful item that met my expectations.
They also handled my request for a tapestry finish quickly and with great care, making for a very pleasant shopping experience.
The finish was also meticulously done and beautiful.
I would definitely like to use their services again.

This was my first purchase. I had been looking for a Gabbeh for my living room and had seen many in person, but I couldn't find anything that really spoke to me. Then I found one on your website and it was love at first sight, so I bought it immediately. I was a little worried about buying something based solely on an image, but the actual product was just as wonderful as I imagined. The packaging was also very careful, and it even came with a letter! Thank you so much for the beautiful Persian tapestry as well. I've hung it in my entryway. I look forward to shopping with you again if the opportunity arises.
