What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a carpet woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, passed down through generations. It is one of the most outstanding art crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in carpet design and materials used by region, Iran boasts a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug, with its unique and unparalleled charm, into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum any dust on the surface along the direction of the pile. If you spill liquids, first absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as paper towels or tissues). Then, place a dry towel on the back of the rug, and using water and a neutral detergent, gently dab the area with a tightly wrung towel. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and hang it in a well-ventilated area to dry.
Please note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, and dye variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
