Characteristics of the Region (Naein)
Naein is a city located in central Iran, near Isfahan. Naein rugs are similar in design to those from Isfahan and are very popular. Cotton is used for the foundation, and wool and silk are often used for the pile. The designs frequently feature a medallion with Shah Abbasi floral patterns. Ivory and beige are typically used for the field color, with accents of red, green, blue, and pink often added. The Habibiian workshop is particularly famous, known for its high-quality rugs.
What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a type of rug woven in Iran. It has a long history, renowned for its beauty and durability that allows it to be passed down through generations. It is one of the most exquisite artistic crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug design and materials used across various production regions, Iran boasts a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian nomadic tribes. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color palettes of Persian rugs possess an unmatched charm. By introducing a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Wool & Silk)
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap of the rug. For persistent stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight irregularities in shape, weaving, or dyeing. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven piece.
