Characteristics of the Origin (Nain)
Nain is a city located in central Iran, near Isfahan. Nain rugs are very popular and similar in design to Isfahan rugs. Cotton is used for the foundation, and wool and silk are often used for the pile. The designs frequently feature medallions with Shah Abbasi floral patterns. Ivory and beige are used for the field color, often accented with colors such as red, green, blue, and pink. The Habibian workshop is particularly famous, and its rugs are known for their high quality.
What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a type of rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is known for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most excellent art crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used depending on the region of origin, Iran has a wide variety of rugs. There is everything from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs have a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance the atmosphere.
Daily Care (Wool)
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
