This is our original, one-of-a-kind design by Mr. Javaheri, a famous Iranian engraver. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of the Pahlavi Shah. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance the charm of the turquoise. The reverse side of each turquoise is individually engraved with gold, matching the stone's shape.

Features of Natural Persian Firuze (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vivid, deep sky-blue color, known as "the color of spring sky," and is a high-quality stone with high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it has long been cherished as the stone of the royal family, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality producing region, turquoise is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, etc., with varying qualities. While a lot of turquoise from Arizona, USA, is imported into Japan, this Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its dwindling production and preciousness in recent years.
