This is an original design by the famous Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri, and is a one-of-a-kind piece. Mr. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of the Pahlavi King. While lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he produced our store's jewelry from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance the charm of the turquoise. The back of each turquoise stone is individually hand-engraved with gold to match the stone's shape.

Characteristics of Natural Persian Firuze (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a high-quality, hard stone with a vibrant, deep sky blue color, often called "the color of the spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as a royal family stone for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While much of the turquoise imported into Japan comes from Arizona, USA, the Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" has become rare due to a drastic decrease in production in recent years and is thus not widely introduced.

Daily Care

We recommend wiping the jewelry each time after wearing it to prevent the accumulation of daily dirt before storing it.

As natural stones are used, please be careful to prevent perfumes, sweat, or oil-based substances from coming into direct contact with the jewelry when wearing it. While natural Iranian turquoise is known for its high hardness and resistance to discoloration, the stone's color may rarely change.
