Characteristics of Natural Persian Firuze (Turquoise) Jewelry
This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, giving rise to its name, meaning "Turkish." Persian turquoise is a high-quality, hard stone with a vivid, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring skies." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.
In Persia, it has long been cherished as the stone of the royal family, and this "Persian blue" was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
While Iran is the primary source of the finest quality turquoise, stones of varying quality are also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other locations. Many turquoise stones imported into Japan come from Arizona in the United States, but this Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its rarity and significantly reduced production in recent years.
Enjoy the vivid, gentle sky-blue, known as Persian blue, unique to natural Persian turquoise, which is said to be "the color of spring skies" and complements most skin tones.
Daily Care
We recommend wiping the jewelry each time before storing it to prevent everyday dirt from accumulating.
Please remove the jewelry before bathing.
Notes
As natural stones are used, please be careful to avoid direct contact with perfumes, sweat, or oily substances when wearing the jewelry. While natural Iranian turquoise is highly durable and resistant to discoloration, the stone may occasionally change color.
