Characteristics of Persian Natural Firuze (Turquoise) Jewelry
This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with high hardness and a vibrant, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone used by humanity as an amulet against evil.
In Persia, it was cherished as a royal family stone for many years, and this "Persian blue" was highly valued during the Victorian era. Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other countries. While much of the turquoise brought to Japan comes from Arizona in America, Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" has become increasingly rare due to a sharp decline in production in recent years, and thus is not widely introduced.
Enjoy the vivid, gentle sky-blue, Persian blue, unique to natural Persian turquoise, which is often called "the color of spring sky" and blends beautifully with skin tones.
Daily Care
We recommend wiping the jewelry each time before storing it to prevent the accumulation of everyday dirt.
Please remove it before bathing.
Notes
As natural stones are used, please be careful to prevent perfume, sweat, oils, or similar substances from coming into direct contact with the jewelry when worn. While natural Iranian turquoise is highly durable and resistant to discoloration, the stone's color may rarely change.
