This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our shop by the famous Iranian engraver, Jafaheri. Mr. Leather Jafaheri was an engraver who served as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While also lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its appeal. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved in gold, matching the stone's shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, giving rise to its name, derived from the word "Turkish." Persian turquoise is a vivid, deep sky blue color, often called "the color of spring sky," and is a high-quality stone with high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone used by humanity as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While much of the turquoise imported into Japan comes from Arizona in the US, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its scarcity and sharply decreased production in recent years.
