This is an original, one-of-a-kind design from our shop, created by the renowned Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi monarchy. While lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he crafted jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. His delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance the allure of the stones. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved with gold, matching the stone's unique shape.

Characteristics of Persian Natural Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, originally mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, which is why the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, characterized by its high hardness and vivid, deep sky-blue color, often referred to as "the color of spring skies." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it has long been cherished as the stone of the royal family, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other locations. While much American Arizona turquoise is brought into Japan, Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced because its production has drastically decreased in recent years, making it a valuable commodity.
