This is an original, one-of-a-kind design by the famous Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri, exclusively for our shop. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as a jewelry artisan for the royal family during the Pahlavi dynasty. While also lecturing at the University of Tehran's Faculty of Fine Arts, he created jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance the charm of the turquoise. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved with gold, matching the shape of the stone.

Features of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, originally mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with high hardness, boasting a vivid, deep sky blue often called "the color of spring skies." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humankind as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was beloved as the royal family's stone for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other countries, with varying qualities. While much turquoise from Arizona, USA, is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its dwindling production and preciousness in recent years.
