This is an original, one-of-a-kind design from our shop, created by the renowned Iranian metal engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was a metal engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of the Pahlavi Shah. While lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he crafted our jewelry from 1990 to 2007. His delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance the stone's beauty. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved in gold to match the stone's shape.

Characteristics of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, with high hardness and a vivid, deep sky blue color often described as "the color of spring skies." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
While Iran is the best-quality producing region for turquoise, different qualities are also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many turquoise stones from Arizona, USA, are imported into Japan, but Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its decreasing production and increasing rarity in recent years.
