This is an original one-of-a-kind design by Mr. Javaheri, a famous Iranian engraver. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi monarchy. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance the stone's appeal. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved with gold, matching the stone's shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vivid, deep sky blue, often called "the color of spring skies," and is a high-quality, hard stone. In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While a lot of Arizona turquoise from America is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its significantly decreased production in recent years, making it very precious.
