This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our shop by Mr. Javaheri, a famous Iranian engraver. Mr. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the University of Fine Arts in Tehran, he created jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its appeal. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved in gold to match its shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is known for its vibrant and deep sky blue color, often called the "color of the spring sky," and is a high-quality stone with high hardness. In fact, this is the stone that humankind first used as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued in the Victorian era. Besides Iran, which is the best source, turquoise of varying qualities is produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. While much turquoise from Arizona, USA, is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its decreasing production in recent years, making it very valuable.
