This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our shop by Mr. Javaheri, a famous Iranian engraver. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of the Pahlavi King. While lecturing at the University of Tehran's School of Fine Arts, he created jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the individuality of each turquoise, further enhance the beauty of the turquoise. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved in gold to match the stone's shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vibrant, deep sky blue color, known as "the color of the spring sky," and is a high-quality stone with high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it has long been cherished as the stone of the royal family, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
In addition to Iran, the best quality producing region, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. While a lot of American Arizona turquoise is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its decreasing production in recent years and its rarity.
