This is an original, one-of-a-kind design from our store, created by the renowned Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its appeal. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved with gold to match the stone's shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, with a vivid, deep sky blue color, known as "the color of the spring sky," and high hardness. In fact, it was also the first stone used by humans as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it has long been cherished as the stone of the royal family, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also produced in Australia, the United States, China, Egypt, and other places. While a lot of turquoise from Arizona in the United States is brought into Japan, this Persian "firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreased production in recent years and its preciousness.
