Characteristics of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry
This stone, originally mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, which is how it got its name, "turquoise," meaning "Turkish." Persian turquoise is a highly durable, top-quality stone known for its vibrant, deep sky-blue color, often referred to as "the color of spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many turquoise stones from Arizona, USA, are imported into Japan, but Persian "Firoozeh" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its dwindling production and increasing rarity in recent years.
Please enjoy the vibrant, gentle sky-blue, the Persian blue, unique to natural Persian turquoise, which is called "the color of spring sky" and blends beautifully with any skin tone.
