This is a unique, original design by the famous Iranian goldsmith, Mr. Javaheri, made exclusively for our store. Mr. Javaheri was an acclaimed goldsmith who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of King Pahlavi. While lecturing at the University of Fine Arts in Tehran, he also created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. His delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance the stone's appeal. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved in gold, matching the stone's unique shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, which is why the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, with high hardness, and a vivid, deep sky-blue color often described as "the color of spring skies." In fact, this was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the royal family's stone for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, which is the finest source, turquoise of varying quality is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other countries. While much turquoise imported into Japan comes from Arizona in America, Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing production in recent years, making it a precious commodity.
