This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our store, crafted by Mr. Javaheri, a renowned Iranian engraver. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of the Pahlavi King. While teaching at Tehran University of Art, he produced jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate design, tailored to the individuality of each turquoise stone, further enhances the stone's charm.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vivid, deep sky blue, often called "the color of spring sky," and is a high-quality, hard stone. In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished as a royal family stone for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many American Arizona turquoises are brought into Japan, but Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its dwindling production in recent years and its rarity.
