This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our shop, created by Mr. Javaheri, a renowned Iranian engraver. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who served as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the University of Tehran's Faculty of Fine Arts, he produced jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance its allure. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved in gold, matching the stone's shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, which is where the name "turquoise" (meaning "Turkish") originated. Persian turquoise is known for its vibrant, deep sky blue color, often called "the color of spring skies," and is a high-quality stone with superior hardness. In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was highly prized during the Victorian era. While Iran is the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other locations. Much of the turquoise imported into Japan comes from Arizona, USA, but due to a drastic reduction in recent years, the precious Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced.
