Gabbeh are long-pile rugs woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool as an integral part of their daily lives. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
