Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads, who live in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is rich in oil content to regulate body temperature effectively, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Vacuum or sweep in the direction of the pile to remove dirt and dust.
If stains are a concern: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung out towel or similar. Afterwards, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated shade.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used for the wool may be present.
