Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the daily lives of the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically weave them in the Zagros Mountains of Iran using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
These Gabbeh rugs, woven by Iranian nomads hand-by-hand after dyeing the wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from the harsh temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.

Daily Care

Remove dust and dirt with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung-out towel. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with water to remove detergent, then air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
The scent will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Pom-poms can be removed upon request

The pom-poms located at the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed and delivered to you if requested.
Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
