Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh are long-piled rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant-to-the-touch texture contains a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads one by one with this wool dyed with natural dyes, is characterized by its fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting excellent durability.

Daily Care

Remove dust and dirt with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh is woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dye used to color the wool.
The smell will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pompoms can be removed before shipping

The pompoms on the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
