Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool as part of their daily life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
