Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, everyday rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in natural oils, allows for effective body temperature regulation.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth or towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterward, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated shade.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, dyeing irregularities, etc. Please be aware that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.
