Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and contains a large amount of oil to effectively regulate body temperature, making it soft and pleasant to the touch.
Gabbeh rugs are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture, as they are hand-woven one by one by Iranian nomads after dyeing the wool with natural dyes.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If concerned about stains: dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

As these are hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving unevenness, and dyeing unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
The scent will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
