Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs made from plant-dyed wool, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, skillfully regulating body temperature.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven meticulously one by one by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh rugs created from the nomads' imaginations often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be placed on the floor, but are also beautiful enough to be displayed as art on a wall.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterward, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. As such, a unique odor from the wool dye may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Removing the pompoms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
