Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap of the rug.

For noticeable stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive smell from the dyes used to color the wool.
