Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, naturally dyed wool rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains of Iran, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant-to-the-touch fibers contain a high amount of natural oil, allowing for effective body temperature regulation.
Gabbeh rugs, made from this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their soft and comfortable feel.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Points to Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
