Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs woven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. They are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and contains a high amount of natural oil for effective body temperature regulation, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
These wools are dyed with natural dyes, and Gabbeh rugs, meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a wet cloth to remove detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
