Features of Persian hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs, rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and a soft, pleasant texture rich in oils to regulate body temperature effectively.
These Gabbehs, made from wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbehs are so durable that they are said to last 100 years.
Born from a climate with extreme day-night temperature differences, Gabbehs are warm in winter and airy in summer, giving a feeling of coolness.
And, above all, their artistic quality. Gabbehs created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even displayed on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can cherish for a long time?
Daily care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent and dry in a well-ventilated shade.
Important notes
Due to hand-weaving, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
