Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are long-pile carpets deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomads, who live in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are hand-woven using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a high amount of oil to regulate body temperature effectively, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
These Gabbehs, made from wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbehs are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbehs are also known for being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.

Daily Care

Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shady area.
