Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature well, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture. Gabbeh rugs, woven meticulously one by one by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable texture. Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years. Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing a feeling of heat. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile. For persistent stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
