Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile carpets hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool, deeply rooted in their way of life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content for effective body temperature regulation.
The Gabbeh are hand-woven one by one by Iranian nomads, using this wool dyed with natural dyes, resulting in a plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, demonstrating their exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with significant temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And above all, there is its artistry. The Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to the handmade nature, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dyes used on the wool.
The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery upon request.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
