Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Precautions

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please note that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
