Gabbeh are long-pile rugs woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, made by meticulously hand-weaving each strand of this wool dyed with natural dyes by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If dirt is a concern: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry it in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
